Framing is a construction system formed by a network of profiles obtained by the forming of cold rolled sheets of galvanized steel.
In the US it is called Light Steel Framing, to differentiate this system from the Steel Frame, which is a construction technique that uses a skeleton of columns and beams of “heavy” steel profiles called IPN profiles that make possible the construction of skyscrapers.
In both Spain and Latin America it is known simply as Steel Framing.
Steel Framing means steel frame due to the use of galvanized profiles armed in the form of squares between two and four meters on each side, which can be pre-assembled on the ground and then placed vertically or can even be assembled in a workshop and transported to the construction site by proper transport.
